Academic licensees trained outside of Canada often face gaps in their onboarding to the healthcare system in Nova Scotia. The Welcome Collaborative’s Advisory Council has recommended that these physicians could benefit from the Welcome Collaborative’s program support, mentorship and ongoing sense of community.
The College’s Council revised the Academic Licensure policy which now requires physicians issued an Academic licence to attend the Welcome Collaborative. This change took effect April 1, 2024.
